Memphis International Raceway Releases Action-Packed Schedule

MILLINGTON, Tenn.— Memphis International Raceway will live up to its name as the premier motorsport’s destination in the Mid-South with aaction-packed schedule for 2020.

Major events at MIR in 2020 include ARCA Racing Series with NASCAR coming togetherat MIR’s exciting 3/4-mile oval track. The drag strip features more than 150 days of racing action with such events as the Super Chevy Show, Bracket Series presented by COMP Cams, Diesel Motorsports  Stillbilly Truck Race, Midnight Madness and more. 

The 34th annual Super Chevy Show, the premier destination for all things Chevrolet, returns to MIR September 25-27, and you won’t want to miss a minute of the excitement. There is drag racing, a vendor midway and a massive swap meet to find those hard-to-locate parts, and the largest collection of Chevrolet vehicles, from modern to classic, in one place.

The ARCA Racing Series and NASCAR will come together in 2020 returning for a fourth-straight year, this time crowning the inaugural ARCA Racing Series Sioux Chief Showdown champion during Memphis 200 in a new date, Saturday, September 26. Don’t miss a minute of the thrilling action to see who will walk out of MIR with the championship trophy. 

Other racer friendly events are scheduled during the year. Weekly Test N Tune will happen every Thursday beginning Thursday, March 5. The Bracket Series presented by COMP Cams kicks off the 10-race season Saturday, March 14. Midnight Madness with Traction Optional returns to MIR every 2nd Friday of the month beginning April 10. 

If you enjoy gas and diesel trucks, then you’ll want to be at MIR October 23 and 24 during Diesel Motorsports Stillbilly Truck Race, featuring gas and diesel trucks taking part in drag racing, show-n-shine and more during a thrilling two-day event. 

New and returning events to MIR include Cool Events featuring a Mud Run March 14, Muddy Dash July 25, and the return of the Muddy Princess 5K. 

Champions from all over North America will meet at MIR Oct. 15-17 for the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Summit SuperSeries World Finals, the most prestigious grassroots drag racing series championship.
