Ford fans gathered at Memphis International Raceway for Fun Ford Weekend, 2013
Millington, T.N. (June 17, 2013) Ford enthusiasts gathered at Memphis International Raceway June 7 -8 for a celebration of all things Ford. The weekend was packed with activities all geared toward the Ford enthusiast. “We had Ford-powered and Ford-bodied racing, autocross, live music, Elaine Larsen and Marisha Falk drag racing jet cars, Rusty Wallace Karting and a spectacular car show,” said Pam Kendrick Vice President and General Manager of Memphis International Raceway. MIR is committed to growing Fun Ford Weekend each year. The car show participation increased 33% this year over last. “We are thankful for the racers, area car clubs and Ford fans attend and support this event. With their support, Fun Ford Weekend at MIR will continue to expand. We hope everyone had a wonderful experience at Memphis International Raceway and will come again soon,” said Kendrick.
Millington, TN (June 5, 2013) – Memphis International Raceway (MIR), Rusty Wallace Racing Experience (RWRE) and Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS (CRA) officials proudly announce the newly reopened Memphis International Raceway will host the “Racing’s Back! Memphis 250,” a CRA sanctioned event, on Saturday, October 26th. The ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS Super Late Models and the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour is presented by Chevrolet Performance crate late models and will feature two 125 lap races as well as stars of the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience in a 50 lap race between the late model and qualifying sessions of this incredible event.
